Not everything ‘natural’ is safe!

A newly diagnosed diabetic patient, stressed from night shifts and poor sleep, avoided allopathic treatment and chose turmeric supplements. Weeks later, he landed in the hospital with severe liver injury liver enzymes skyrocketed to 4000 units from a normal 40.

The culprit? Over-the-counter turmeric supplements, potentially causing drug-induced liver injury. Remember, supplements aren’t always regulated, and ‘packed’ curcumin isn’t the same as fresh turmeric.

Choose wisely and consult a doctor before self-medicating!
